Much of the inspiration for the paintings comes from my time spent at SavetheHorses.org, a horse rescue and retirement organization in Cumming, Georgia. I spend time there with my camera watching the horses, photographing them and getting to know them. They are truly amazing … from old horse to young horses, from healthy to injured, and all the ones that are just there because no one wanted them ... and occasionally a blue horse shows up.
